PNF, High Posterior Chain Mobilization

I'm not too sure about some of the stretching techniques shown in second half of the video. Traditional yogic techniques are more effective, efficient, and safer.

The test shown in first half is very good! Puts you right in touch with what needs work! Don't be discouraged if you can't do it as a beginner!

Have a friend watch you and tell you if you are doing it right.

The posterior chain nerves come from the sacral plexus. This corresponds to the first chakra. The psoas (hip flexor) muscles and low abs are controlled by lumbar nerve plexus (chakra two).

If you stand on your toes it activates the sacral plexus. If you lift your toes and stand on your heels you activate the lumbar plexus. Both muscle groups need ample strength and flexibility in order for the foundation of your posture to be intact.

All this comes into play only if your are human, and choose to hold your spine upright all the time. Instead of climbing on trees.

Spines are really meant to walk on four legs! Try doing that for a few minutes. Hands and feel, not knees!

Low backs are 'blown out from sitting in chairs and getting rounded (bent forward). This bad habit sets you up for all sorts of problems!!!
